About Barwon Heads
Barwon Heads is a small coastal village on the Bellarine Peninsula, about 23km south-east of Geelong, where the Barwon River meets the sea. Famous for its bridge, surf break and relaxed vibe, it draws both weekenders and sea-changers. The main strip on Hitchcock Ave has two venues worth knowing: the Barwon Heads Hotel for a proper local with bistro specials and live music, and Tommy Gunns for a more intimate wine-bar experience with a French-inspired kitchen.
